Bishop's Company 2003
At both the Bishop's Company Annual
dinner on Monday, October 6th and the Clergy/Layworkers' Day on
Tuesday,
October 7th, Bishop Ralph spoke of his profound gratitude to all
members of the Bishop's Company and thanked them for their continued
support of him and for this important ministry. The Bishop spoke
about the ever-increasing needs clergy and layworkers face today.
Only with the support of the Bishop's Company is he able to confidentially
assist those in need.

Michael Garrison, Bishop of Western New York, with John Janisse
and Carol Spence
Bishop Michael Garrison of the Diocese
of Western New York was guest speaker at the Bishop's Company dinner,
held on October 6th at the Burlingon Convenion Centre.
The Bishop brought greetings from his
diocese and spoke warmly about the relationship between the two
dioceses and especially between Bishop Spence and himself.
Bishop Garrison touched on the Canadian reponse to
9-11 and particularly spoke on the Memorias Service held at Christ's
Church Cathedral, Hamilton. He found a comparison in the response
of Canadian Anglicans in the resolution of the Residential School
settlement. He further spoke on other issues that unite Anglicans
worldwide, and about aspects of faith, spirituality and witness. |
